The Northmed Song - my peace place (recompose x Nyokabi Kari​ũ​ki 2022)

This is my composition submitted to the third SA Recordings "Recompose" competition, taking inspiration from composer and performer Nyokabi Kariũki debut EP "Peace places: Kenyan memories", using the notable arpeggio motif in 'Equator song'.
Based on a delicate mix of natural and industrial sounds, The North Med Song represents the melancholy of the places where I live (Northern Italy): factories immersed in lush nature, an unusual combination.

The arpeggio motif is taken up and developed by the trumpet, while a highly reverberated piano draws a simple chord tour in A major. The piece ends with a sampling of the same arpeggio motif.
